“Roxy with Rumphius Farms was, quite possibly, the highlight of our wedding! She was the most incredible florist we could have asked for. Her timely and consistent communication with us, flexibility, and willingness to creatively collaborate were all highlights of working with her. We got so many compliments on our florals and she really made our dream come to life. Could not recommend her more- thank you for everything, Roxy!” -Joy
Joy and Markenson were not a give-one-note-and-one-note-only kind of couple.
They wanted a wedding that unfolded. Layer by layer, space by space, aesthetic to aesthetic, each one holding its own while still feeling part of the same story—their story.
The Tower: A Longwood Venue gave them the structure—four floors, each with its own setting. The style? That came from J&M.
Minimalist but colourful for the ceremony. Disco for cocktail hour. Garden-style for dinner.
Joy knew the vibe. And she trusted me to bring every playful, vibrant, upscale but eclectic note to life.
Here’s how we did it—with cohesive wedding flowers that tied four bold, distinct moments into one unforgettable day.

With dark wood, built-in bookcases, and ornate detailing, The Library at The Tower didn’t need a floral arch to make a statement. Joy and Markenson certainly didn’t either.
They asked for something minimal but colorful, including a few thoughtful elements that let the florals whisper their story into the walls.
So I kept the design light and intentional. Bud vases and candlelight softened the bookcase behind them, warming the scene without pulling the focus. Slim gold stands held seasonal blooms in soft white, coral, and lavender. A small, intentional composition—anchoring the scene while supporting the larger, cohesive floral vision.
When your wedding carries more than one mood, the ceremony doesn’t need to say it all. It just needs to feel like the beginning of a cohesive wedding floral story.
Cocktail hour called for disco. Dinner called for depth.
We moved the gold stands from the ceremony to the bar, giving them a new presence without totally rewriting the scene. A small arrangement held the palette in place with color doing the quiet work of connection. The disco balls migrated with the mood, carried from cocktail hour into the reception where they picked up the evening light.
Then came dinner: garden-style, lush, and lit with candlelight. Light flickered across the room from wax-coated LED tapers placed in vintage brass holders that I sourced myself, acting as a subtle way to balance the bold with a touch of old world refinement.
The vibe had moved from minimal to lush, from elegance to earth. That’s what cohesive wedding flowers do. They don’t stay put—they move with the moment, creating visual rhythm and continuity across your day. Each floral choice helped carry a consistent thread through every setting, ensuring that even as the energy shifted, the flowers told one seamless story.
There’s something about using ingredients from your own hands, your own soil, to express someone else’s story. It already feels personal.
Most of what went into Joy’s bouquet was grown by me. Coral charm peonies harvested at their peak. Sweet peas and green blueberries just beginning to form, tucked in between the layers for texture and tone. I echoed the blueberries in Markenson’s boutonnière.
That’s the kind of cohesion I design for—florals that feel personal, seasonal, and above all, evocative. Not sameness, but a conversation—between colors, textures, and flowers, all working together to form cohesive wedding moments.
Whether your wedding unfolds across four floors or one small ceremony space, cohesive wedding flowers can carry your story from start to finish. I specialize in floral design that adapts, surprises, and holds a thread of continuity through every chapter of your celebration.
hi, i'm roxy!
I’m a florist by instinct and an artist at heart, drawn to flowers that move like they mean it. The kind that lean into the light, spill a little wildly, and say something real without saying a word.
As a florist located in Greater Boston, I design for celebrations across New England and beyond, always guided by seasonality and story. My work is garden-inspired, movement-driven, and rooted in emotion. Whether you're planning a wedding or just here to gather ideas: welcome. I'm so glad our paths crossed.
