how i create as a florist for newport and boston wedding venues

If you're planning a wedding in Rhode Island or Massachusetts and want florals that feel painterly, poetic, and deeply personal: you're in the right place.

I specialize in creating garden-style floral designs that are curated to the feel of your day. Whether you're envisioning a coastal ceremony, a historic estate, or something entirely your own, I'd be honored to bring the botanical poetry to your story.

Bring your color references, your tablescape dreams, and above all else— your love story. I'll help you translate all of it into floral form. Natural, nuanced, and tailored entirely to you.

q+a with your soon-to-be wedding florist

curiosities, answered

q: what happens after i inquire?

A: If I am available for your wedding date, I will reply with my Experience Guide and a link to schedule a complimentary consultation call to discuss your vision and whether I am the wedding florist to bring it to life.

q: what does it mean to be a foam-free florist?

A: Floral foam is a single use, non-biodegradable substance containing formaldehyde, making it harmful to both our ecosystem and the florists handling it. As a foam-free wedding florist in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, I instead use as much recyclable, reusable, and compostable material as I possibly can to build your floral arrangements, aiming to reduce waste and reliance on non-biodegradable substance. Often times, I'll even rely on the natural structure of the flowers and foliage to support the design of the arrangement, which makes it both eco-conscious and rich in movement.

Q: do you provide candles?

A: I do! I offer rentals from an LED candle inventory that I trust. These are real, wax coated candles. Alternatively, if your wedding venue permits it, I offer wax candles with glass chimneys, as well.

Q: how does payment work?

A: A 30% non-refundable retainer secures your wedding date on my calendar, as well as provides me with the necessary overhead to order your hard goods ahead of time (i.e. vessels, arch shapes, candles, etc.). Final payment is due 30 days before your wedding date.

Q: where do you source your flowers?

A: During the local growing season, I prioritize local flowers. As a wedding florist in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, I've used my own flowers, as well as flowers from Cross Street Flower Farm and other micro farms in the Greater Boston area. However, I also import high quality flowers from around the world because the inventory is more predictable, allowing me to design flowers that are as close as possible to your Botanical Brief concept.
